With Deadpool massively exceeding expectations at the box office (it could go as high as $475 million by the end of next weekend), all everyone seems to be talking about is what the next R-Rated comic book movie is going to end up being. Of course, it’s worth noting that Deadpool succeeded not because of that, but because those involved loved the character and fought for years to get it made; the crude humour and violence were just a bonus for fans!

Still, it now appears as if Fox are considering taking the next Wolverine movie down a similar route. The image below comes from a booklet handed out at this past weekend’s toy fair, and as you can see, the studio appears to have an R-Rating in mind for Hugh Jackman’s final appearance as the iconic X-Men character. Does Wolverine really need one though?

After all, we’ve seen him tell people to “Go f**k yourself,” and skewer plenty of others on his claws, so it’s hard to imagine that some extra blood and swearwords will make a difference!

Regardless, this should strictly be taken as a rumour for now anyway, but with the script nearly completed, it does seem as if the studio is leaning toward an R-Rating based on how it’s turned out. Still, while Deadpool has been a box office hit, it’s hard to say whether or not it’s a smart decision to cut the PG-13 crowd off from seeing Wolverine’s next adventure…
