Having James Franco as an internet billionaire locking horns with his future father-in-law only really works as a premise if that father-in-law is played by someone like Bryan Cranston. It’s nothing earth-shattering – it’s fairly standard Meet the Parents stuff, however having Franco and Cranston in the mix elevates the familiar gross out gags and foul-mouthed patter.

We’re looking forward to seeing Bryan Cranston channel his inner Walter White on Boxing Day, and the festive aspect of the film ties up nicely with seasonal release date. It’s one of our picks for the 20 Best Movies still to see in 2016 – check out the rest.
