Pixar has released another new trailer for the highly anticipated return of The Incredibles, drip feeding audiences just enough to satisfy their superhero thirst.

It’s been thirteen long years since the original was released which was written and directed by Brad Bird. The film followed the incredible family who was forced to hide their powers and live a quiet suburban life. Mr Incredible’s desire to help people draws the entire family into a battle with Syndrome, a former fan who now plots to wipe out all superheroes with his killer robot.

Now Bird has returned to write and direct the follow-up, which now has a skeleton plot line. Included in the voice cast are Samuel Jackson, Holly Hunter, John Ratzenberger, Craig T. Nelson and Sarah Vowell.

Incredibles 2 Synopsis

Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
