Universal Pictures has released a new trailer for ‘Werwulf,’ the latest gothic nightmare from acclaimed filmmaker Robert Eggers.
Presented by Universal Pictures and Focus Features, ‘Werwulf’ is described as “a harrowing tale of devotion, damnation and the devil within,” continuing Eggers’ fascination with folklore, mythology and psychological horror.
Following the critical acclaim of ‘The Witch,’ ‘The Lighthouse,’ ‘The Northman’ and ‘Nosferatu,’ Eggers once again ventures into dark historical horror, crafting an atmospheric tale that blends superstition, faith and monstrous transformation.
The film is directed by Robert Eggers, who also co-wrote the screenplay alongside acclaimed Icelandic novelist and poet Sjón.
Leading the cast is Aaron Taylor-Johnson, joined by an impressive ensemble that includes Willem Dafoe and Lily-Rose Depp.
