We saw the first TV spot from our shores surface earlier in the month, and now Warner Bros. have released the first US TV spot, giving us another look at Jennifer Aniston in her underwear as Jason Sudeikis gets the ball rolling on setting up his fake family.
David is a small-time pot dealer whose clientele includes chefs and soccer moms, but no kids—after all, he has his scruples. So what could go wrong? Plenty. Having been jumped by a trio of gutter punks who steal his stash and his cash, they leave him in major debt to a drug lord. In order to wipe the slate clean, David must now become a big-time drug smuggler by bringing Brad’s latest shipment in from Mexico. Twisting the arms of his neighbours including a cynical stripper, a wannabe customer and a tatted-and-pierced streetwise teen, he devises a fool proof plan. One fake wife, two pretend kids and a huge, shiny campervan later, the “Millers” are on a roadtrip that is sure to end with a bang.
Emma Roberts and Will Poulter round out the leading quartet, with Ed Helms, Kathryn Hahn, Nick Offerman, and Thomas Lennon filling out the comedy ensemble nicely.
Rawson Marshall Thurber (Dodgeball) is at the helm, directing from a script co-written by Bob Fisher and Steve Faber (Wedding Crashers), with John Morris and Sean Anders (Sex Drive) also having a hand in its writing during its development at New Line.
We’re the Millers is set to be released in the US on August 9th, and will follow in the UK a little later on 23rd August. Here’s the new TV spot to get you in the mood while we wait.
