Sons of Anarchy and The Hateful Eight actor, Walton Goggins, has signed on the dotted line to star in the Ant-Man sequel, Ant-Man and the Wasp.

Details of the role he will be playing in the sequel as well as any plot outline, as would be expected, are being kept under lock and key with the big wigs at Marvel headquarters. Paul Rudd is returning as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man with Evangeline Lily as the Wasp, Michael Douglas as Hank Pym, Michael Pena as Luis, T.I. as Dave and Dave Dastmalchian as Kurt. The other newcomers include Hannah John-Kamen and most recently Randall Park as Jimmy Wood are also confirmed to join the cast of the film which is expected to start filming come the end of the month.  It’s also rumoured that Bill Foster, a.k.a. Goliath will appear.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Peyton Reed is also set to return to take the helm of the sequel and with Comic-Con in full force this week we can expect to hear more from Marvel’s presentation very soon. Ant-Man and the Wasp has been slated for a July 2018 release.

Goggins has certainly been keeping himself busy, He is due to star in three films at least in 2018. He will be seen opposite Alicia Vikander in the Tomb Raider reboot, just finished up filming in the third Maze Runner outing, Maze Runner: The Death Cure and The Three Christs of Ypsilanti as well as Season 1 of History’s Six, and his HBO series with Danny McBride Vice Principals returns for Season 2 on September 17.
