Led by three-time Oscar-nominee Michelle Williams (My Week with Marilyn) and the ever-brilliant Seth Rogen (50/50), Take This Waltz debuted at the Toronto International Film Festival to very good reviews last year, and I’ve been looking forward to it ever since.

The film opened in a limited release in North America this weekend, taking a very respectable k from only two screens in New York! And it will be opening on wider release in the US this coming weekend.

As if that wasn’t good news enough, StudioCanal have put up the UK trailer and quad poster, confirming for 100% certain that it will be getting a release on our shores! I feared we’d have to wait for it to arrive on DVD/Blu-ray, so am definitely excited that it’s coming to the big screen.

“28-year-old Margot lives in Toronto with her husband Lou who writes cookbooks featuring recipes for chicken dishes. When she meets Daniel who lives across the street, there is an immediate connection between them. Although she stays faithful to Lou, her attraction to the seemingly perfect Daniel intensifies until she realizes something about herself and has to tell Lou about her feelings.”

Written and directed by Sarah Polley (Away From Her), the film also stars Luke Kirby and Sarah Silverman, and has been featured on dozens of most-anticipated-films-of-the-summer lists across the Atlantic – if you weren’t looking forward to this already, now’s the time to start doing so.

Take This Waltz will be released in the UK on 17th August. Set a reminder, because this is going to be one of the best drama-comedies of the season, and almost certainly of the entire year, too. And as usual with the poster, you can click to enlarge. Enjoy.
