Here’s an awards ceremony that shows it was voted for by the people – or the Twihards in this case!!

With Twilight: Eclipse on the horizon, Summit Entertainment with be mighty pleased with the results of the National Movies Awards this evening that were live on ITV1. Twilight: New Moon won the Best Fantasy category while Twilight: Eclipse was announced the most anticipated movie of the year (who the heck is voting for these? Has no one heard that Tron Legacy and Toy Story 3 is coming out!?). Robert Pattinson who plays Edward Cullen in the Twilight Saga won Best Performance.

Told you that you’d be shocked! The funniest moment was when some fans booed when Pattinson didn’t even turn up to the event to give his video message due to ‘filming commitments!’.

Hollywood A-Lister Tom Cruise was at the event last night at the Royal Festival Hall to receive the Screen Icon award which was given to him by Iron Man star, Gwyneth Paltrow. Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson were also there this evening to collect the award for the Best Family Film which went to Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince.
