class=”alignleft size-thumbnail wp-image-156875″ title=”Twice Born” src=”https://www.heyuguys.com/images/2012/09/Twice-Born-220×150.jpeg” alt=”” width=”220″ height=”150″ />Alien Produzioni and Picomedia have released the first theatrical trailer for Twice Born (Venuto Al Mondo), a forthcoming adaptation of Margaret Mazzantini’s novel of the same name.
Directed by Sergio Castellitto (Don’t Move), Twice Born stars Penélope Cruz, Emile Hirsch, Adnan Haskovic, Pietro Castellitto, Jane Birkin, Saadet Aksoy and Luca De Filippo.
The film centers on a single mother, Gemma (Cruz), who returns to Sarajevo with her teenage son sixteen years after they escaped the war-torn city leaving the boy’s father (Hirsch) behind to die.
Twice Born is set to premiere at the 37th annual Toronto International Film Festival, which takes place from September 6 – 16, 2012. UK distribution is yet to be confirmed.
