Disney has officially uploaded users into the Grid once again with the electrifying debut trailer for TRON: Ares, the long-awaited third chapter in the iconic sci-fi saga. Slated for a cinematic release on October 10, the film takes the franchise into bold new territory as the digital and physical worlds collide like never before.

Directed by Joachim Rønning, ‘TRON: Ares’ introduces audiences to Ares—a highly advanced, self-aware Program played by Jared Leto—tasked with a dangerous and unprecedented mission: entering the real world. As Ares becomes the first A.I. entity to cross over from the digital realm into human society, the stakes reach staggering new heights in a story that explores identity, consciousness, and the rapidly blurring lines between man and machine.

Joining Leto is a stacked ensemble including Greta Lee, Evan Peters, Hasan Minhaj, Jodie Turner-Smith, Arturo Castro, Cameron Monaghan, Gillian Anderson, and franchise legend Jeff Bridges, reprising his role as Kevin Flynn.

The trailer teases a visually dazzling journey through a sleek, neon-lit future with high-octane action, philosophical undertones, and the return of the franchise’s signature aesthetic. But this time, the danger isn’t confined to the Grid—it’s coming here.

Backing the film’s high-concept energy is a thunderous, atmospheric score by Nine Inch Nails, whose Grammy®-winning sound brings an edgy, emotional intensity to Ares’ quest for purpose and freedom.
