The first full-length trailer for Norwegian mockumentary Troll Hunter has arrived online, only days after Guillermo Del Toro set up his similarly titled Trollhunters at Dreamworks, and it’s a doozy.
Unlike most American advertising campaigns (*cough* Cloverfield) the film-makers don’t appear particularly shy regarding their monsters. The trolls are glimpsed a number of times, and, as in last year’s District 9 they convince completely.
The film follows a group of students as they investigate a conspiracy to hide the existence of trolls in their native Norway. ‘Trolljegeren’ in its mother-tongue, the film had already been teased in a troll-free capacity.
