John Hillcoat’s films up to, and including, Triple 9 have been complex, visceral experiences with challenging moral maelstroms and gripping narratives.
Wonderful then that he has brought his latest film to London for its UK Premiere. With its story of impossible heists, corrupt cops and various gangster factions digging in their heels the stage is set for another fine thriller from the director.
Among the ensemble cast Hillcoat has gathered are Chiwetel Ejiofor, Casey Affleck, Kate Winslet, Woody Harrelson, Aaron Paul, Anthony Mackie, Norman Reedus, Gal Gadot & Clifton Collins Jr. Some of these fine people were in attendance tonight and we dispatched our own crack team of Cassam Looch and Colin Hart to meet them on the red carpet.
It’s set for release in the UK 19th February.
