I guess this qualifies as a bit of Friday Fun. Slash Film have been so kind as to post an infographic (Research and Design by: CarInsurance.org), showing all of the Autobots from the cartoons that aired between 1984 and 1986. For me, that was the Transformers heyday. They were cool, I loved them, the cartoons were on every morning during the school holidays and frankly no amount of Michael Bay, sunset-tinged, explode everything-ness comes close.

For those of you who lived through this golden era of Transformers, enjoy. If you were not so fortunate, see below what you’ve been missing. Either way, let us know below which ones you love, which toys you owned and which you think the live-action films have improved on.

It’s rather massive so click it to make it full size.

Dave has been writing for HeyUGuys since mid-2010 and has found them to be the most intelligent, friendly, erudite and insightful bunch of film fans you could hope to work with. He's gone from ham-fisted attempts at writing the news to interviewing Lawrence Bender, Renny Harlin and Julian Glover, to writing articles about things he loves that people have actually read. He has fairly broad tastes as far as films are concerned, though given the choice he's likely to go for Con Air over Battleship Potemkin most days. He's pretty sure that 2001: A Space Odyssey is the most overrated mess in cinematic history.
