[UPDATED] Tom Cruise is set to light up the December box office once more this year, with Jack Reacher taking the same slot as Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol had last winter.
We caught the first teaser trailer for the action blockbuster over the summer, and with its release just two months away, a new UK poster has surfaced over at Total Film, with Cruise front and centre, and you can tell he means business.
“When a gunman takes five lives with six shots, all evidence points to the suspect in custody. On interrogation, the suspect offers up a single note: “Get Jack Reacher!” So begins an extraordinary chase for the truth, pitting Jack Reacher against an unexpected enemy, with a skill for violence and a secret to keep.”
Cruise takes the lead alongside a promising cast, headed up by Rosamund Pike, Richard Jenkins, David Oyelowo, Robert Duvall, and Werner Herzog.
Christopher McQuarrie (The Usual Suspects) is directing from his own script, having adapted the best-selling novel, One Shot (which was originally to be the film’s title), by Lee Child, in the Jack Reacher series.

Jack Reacher will be released in the US on 21st December, before arriving here in the UK on 26th December. With just two months to go, we can no doubt look forward to the full-length trailer very soon, and we’ll bring it to you as soon as it hits.
