It’s time to grab that garlic and stock up on your supply of holy water as news comes in that romantic-comedy Vamps has landed three more actors.

Sigourney Weaver, Krysten Ritter and Alicia Silverstone (hoping to strike comic gold again with her Clueless director Amy Heckerling) have already signed on, and now Malcolm McDowell, Zak Orth (The Other Guys) and Marilu Henner (another star from one Heckering’s earlier features, Johnny Dangerously) have also come abroad the tale of two young New York-based female vampires who are forced to question their partying ways when they fall in love with mortals. Look’s like there’s much at stake for these characters.

To be honest, this sounds pretty awful and could be the final nail in the coffin of Silverstone’s film career. The description of McDowell’s character as a “velvet jogging-suit wearing Vlad the Impaler” doesn’t do much to raise one’s hopes either.

Fangs, but no fangs.
