We’ve known that Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange would appear in Thor: Ragnarok ever since the Sorcerer Supreme met the God of Thunder in his movie’s mid-credits scene.

Now, a Japanese trailer for Thor: Ragnarok actually shows us more of that meeting as the hero delivers a dire warning to the Asgardian about his future. Considering the fact Thor will be going up against the Goddess of Death Hela and battling The Hulk in a gladiatorial arena on Sakaar for The Grandmaster’s amusement, that’s really not all that surprising!

Rumour has it that Thor visits Earth (with Loki) to seek out Strange’s help in tracking down the banished Odin as the brothers look for a way to stop Hela from starting Ragnarok, the end of all things. This first meeting will also go some way in setting the stage for Avengers: Infinity War when the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe assemble to battle Thanos.

That’s it for big reveals in this Thor: Ragnarok trailer but it’s well worth a watch and the signs are all pointing to the movie being something very special indeed. It certainly has a very different feel to every other Marvel movie anyway and that’s something we can probably thank director Taika Waitit for. Stay tuned for more on the threequel shortly.
