3. Star-Lord’s Father
Near the end of the movie, Yondu’s reasons for abducting the young Peter Quill from Earth are revealed as Sean Gunn’s (who portrayed Rocket and Thanos during filming) Kraglin says that they were hired by his father to return him. They don’t seem to have anything good to say about him either, so could the movie follow the comic books where J’son of Spartax, the Emperor of the planet Spartex, is his dad? That’s the most recent version of his origin anyway, but I have a feeling that Gunn will have something even more interesting in mind, especially as it the Nova Corps seemed to indicate that his father was ancient and very powerful in origin. Either way, it seems like the sequel will definitely address this and it will be a big part of Star-Lord’s story moving forwards.
