WolverineThe buzz around James Mangold’s Japan-set re-interpretation of popular X-Men, Wolverine has been gaining momentum for a little while now in small bursts (which was literally the case with the 20 second teaser of a teaser released the other day). The director has also been releasing images and mini-mood boards via his twitter account, which have been adding a layer of intrigue to the project. Now we have the opportunity to delve a little more into that world with the international trailer now up online (which you can access below).

First impressions – it’s a handsome-looking affair, in which it appears that the makers are still very much acknowledging the world from which the character has come from, yet offering something a little different, too. Not sure about the gravity-defining train fight, but those larger-than-life action set-pieces are now very much a prerequisite for this type of film. The lack of additional mutants in the trailer is also a welcoming sight. Hopefully they won’t clog up the story like they did in Hugh Jackman’s first spin-off.
