To say that I’m excited for The Wolverine’s arrival next weekend would be something of an understatement.
The film has long been one of my most anticipated of the year, especially when it comes to summer blockbusters. And now we’re just days away from it hitting the big screen, and everything we’ve seen so far has looked awesome. With just a few more days left on the clock, we’ve got a quartet of new character featurettes to share, giving us a little look at Hugh Jackman’s return as Logan, alongside Yukio, Viper, and Harada.
Based on the celebrated comic book arc, The Wolverine finds Logan, the eternal warrior and outsider, in Japan. There, samurai steel will clash with adamantium claw as Logan confronts a mysterious figure from his past in an epic battle that will leave him forever changed.
Jackman is joined by another stellar cast, led by Hiroyuki Sanada, Rila Fukushima, Tao Okamoto, Svetlana Khodchenkova, Will Yun Lee, Hal Yamanouchi, and Brian Tee.
James Mangold (3:10 to Yuma) is behind the camera this time around, directing from a script penned by Mark Bomback, Christopher McQuarrie, and Scott Frank. And Jackman is producing along with longtime X-Men producer, Lauren Shuler Donner.
The Wolverine will be released in 3D on 25th July here in the UK, with its US release date following a day later on July 26th. In the meantime, whilst we eagerly count down the days, here are the four new character featurettes. Enjoy.
