What does the poster below tell us about what’s to come in the second half of The Walking Dead’s sixth season? Well, it’s crammed full of clues, but by far the most interesting is the tagline. Comic book fans will no doubt recognise “A Larger World” as the title of Volume 16 of the comic book, and the arc which saw the Alexandrians learn about the other communities.

With the Saviours showing up in the midseason finale and Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s Negan set to appear in the actual season six finale, we’ll see all of those communities soon enough. Going back to the upcoming premiere though, and the first official image takes us back to that moment and what may just end up being the loss of one of the show’s survivors.

“Yeah, we actually don’t get back to that for seven episodes or so,” jokes The Walking Dead creator Robert Kirkman in an obvious reference to the controversy surrounding the Glenn mystery. “We pick up right in that moment. Alexandria is overrun. Rick and the kids are all covered in guts trying to get through the crowd. Everyone is where we last saw them, and things get worse from there.” If this scene follows the source material, he’s not wrong!
