Sony Pictures has unveiled a brand-new trailer for ‘The Sheep Detectives,’ offering another peek into its clever, woolly whodunit. Based on Three Bags Full by Leonie Swann, the film continues to tease a mystery where the unlikeliest minds become the sharpest investigators.
At the heart of the story is George, played by Hugh Jackman, a kind-hearted shepherd who spends his evenings reading detective novels to his flock, never suspecting they’re quietly absorbing every twist and turn. When a strange incident disrupts the calm of the farm, the sheep decide to take matters into their own hooves.
This new trailer leans further into the film’s comedic timing and investigative intrigue, showing the sheep organising their own amateur sleuth squad, analysing human suspects, and piecing together clues with surprising precision. There’s an irresistible charm in watching them interpret the baffling habits of humans, turning everyday farm life into a puzzle box of suspects and secrets.
Directed by Kyle Balda, the film boasts an impressively stacked ensemble. Alongside Jackman, the voice cast includes Nicholas Braun, Nicholas Galitzine, Molly Gordon, Hong Chau, Emma Thompson, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Bryan Cranston, Chris O’Dowd, Regina Hall, Patrick Stewart, Bella Ramsey, Brett Goldstein, and Rhys Darby.
