The Office helped to launch the careers of so many people, and in many ways, it changed the face of US sitcoms in the past decade. And that’s a particularly impressive feat for a British programme, by any stretch of the imagination.

Not only did it really put Ricky Gervais and fellow creator Stephen Merchant on the map, it helped Martin Freeman get the recognition he now enjoys, and it launched Steve Carell’s career to new heights with the American remake.

The original British programme aired for two seasons (and a two-part Christmas special), and finished back in December 2003.

Fast forward ten years, and we’ve now got a one-off special to look forward to for Red Nose Day, airing on Friday 15th March on BBC One. And to give you a taste of what to expect, the first teaser trailer and the first trailer itself have both debuted online.

“Ten years on, we’ll find out what he’s been up to and most importantly what he’s doing now.”

There’s no sight of any other familiar faces in the trailer, but naturally we’re keeping our fingers tightly crossed for all the original cast to return alongside him. Because what is The Office without Tim (Martin Freeman), Gareth (Mackenzie Crook), and Dawn (Lucy Davis), and all their colleagues?

The Office Revisited will be airing here in the UK on BBC One on Red Nose Day, in aid of Comic Relief, on 15th March. This is going to be a lot of fun.
