It may only have a low resolution but Japanese company Sanwa Supply have made what I believe is the world’s first projector for the iPhone which means watching movies on the move with devices from your pocket is now a reality! The device is called the 400-PRJ101 DLP micro projector and all you have to do is slide the 103 gramme device onto your iPhone and run whatever media you want through it. The 400-PRJ101 runs at a resolution of 640*480 and will display an image of up to 65 inches! Pretty amazing but until I see it working, I’ll be holding judgement on how useful this device is!

I’ve seen small projectors before but never one this tiny or compact. It just goes to show that being able to run PowerPoint or family videos from devices that you carry around in your pocket is only a small step away as this tech is only going to get better. As well as projecting, this device also contains it’s own speaker so watching movies is also possible although I’m not sure how practical it is but I guess time will tell!

In Japan, you can buy the device for ¥19 800 which converts to £165 so we’ll have to see if / when it makes its way over here.
