Easily one of the most eagerly anticipated films of this year, The Green Knight, finally gets a UK release.
Originally slated for 2020 it finally makes it way out in a cinema-Amazon Prime joint release on September 24th.
This adaptation from David Lowery, who takes on both writing and directing duties, is based on a 14th Century poem. With a great cast it is no surprise there is a lot of excitement around the movie.
To mark its release we caught up with both David Lowery and Ralph Ineson to talk about the movie.
Synopsis
An epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, The Green Knight tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight (Ralph Ineson), a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger and tester of men.
