The first trailer and poster launched back in October, giving a brilliant first look at what’s to come in Anderson’s latest feature. Following the new poster, released yesterday on Vulture, the studio has released a new ‘Meet the Cast of Characters’ trailer, introducing the impressive ensemble.
The Grand Budapest Hotel tells of a legendary concierge at a famous European hotel between the wars and his friendship with a young employee who becomes his trusted protégé. The story involves the theft and recovery of a priceless Renaissance painting, the battle for an enormous family fortune and the slow and then sudden upheavals that transformed Europe during the first half of the 20th century.
Ralph Fiennes leads the cast as M. Gustave, joined in alphabetical order by F. Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Adrien Brody, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Saoirse Ronan, Léa Seydoux, Jason Schwartzman, Tilda Swinton, Tom Wilkinson, and Owen Wilson, and introducing Tony Revolori.
Anderson is directing from his own script, and also produces alongside Jeremy Dawson, Steven M. Rales, and Scott Rudin.
The Grand Budapest Hotel will be released in the US and UK on March 7th, 2014. Less than three months left on the clock for what promises to be one of the best films of next year.
