The first teaser trailer for Shane Black’s highly anticipated Iron Man 3 is set to drop on Tuesday, and now the first sneak peek has landed over on the film’s Facebook, and it is amazing.

Robert Downey, Jr. returns once more as billionaire/superhero/all-round awesome genius, Tony Stark / Iron Man, and we can’t wait for Marvel’s Phase Two to kick off in the spring.

“Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?”

Downey, Jr. takes the lead alongside an all-star cast of new and familiar faces, joined by Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheadle, Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall, Stephanie Szostak, James Badge Dale, Jon Favreau, and Ben Kingsley, with Paul Bettany expected to reprise his role as the voice of JARVIS.

Black is reuniting with Downey, Jr. following the former’s brilliant directorial debut, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, making his sophomore feature behind the camera, co-writing the script with rising new talent, Drew Pearce.

Since last week, the film’s Facebook has been gathering enough new members hitting the ol’ Like button to re-energise Tony’s Arc reactor to 100%, thus unveiling this brilliant first look.

Iron Man 3 is set for a 3D release on 26th April, 2013 here in the UK, followed soon after by a 1st May release in the US. Needless to say, it’s sure to be one of the biggest films of next year, and its arrival can’t come fast enough. Whilst we eagerly await the full first teaser trailer to drop on Tuesday, here’s the awesome sneak peek. Enjoy.
