Universal Studios (via Hitfix) have debuted some rather nice new images from the prequel to John Carpenter classic movie, The Thing. The new movie stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Joel Edgerton, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, Eric Christian Olsen, Kim Bubbs, Stig Henrik Hoff, Jonathan Walker and is directed by Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.
IMDb Synopsis: At an Antarctica research site, the discovery of an alien craft leads to a confrontation between graduate student Kate Lloyd and scientist Dr. Sander Halvorson. While Dr. Halvorson keeps to his research, Kate partners with Sam Carter, a helicopter pilot, to pursue the alien life form.
The Thing prequel is scheduled for release some time in 2011.
