Disney Studios has released the first trailer for ‘The Dog Stars,’ the highly anticipated post-apocalyptic thriller from acclaimed filmmaker Ridley Scott. Based on the bestselling novel by Peter Heller, the film promises an emotional and gripping survival story set in a devastated world where hope remains humanity’s most valuable resource.
The newly released trailer offers a haunting glimpse into a harsh post-apocalyptic landscape where survival is never guaranteed. At the centre of the story is Hig (Elordi), a young pilot who has managed to build a fragile existence alongside Bangley (Brolin), a hardened military survivalist. Together, the pair maintain an efficient but isolated homestead amid the ruins of civilisation.
However, everything changes when Hig intercepts a mysterious radio transmission. Driven by the possibility that others may still be out there, he embarks on a dangerous journey into the unknown, searching for the hope, connection and humanity he refuses to abandon.
Starring Jacob Elordi, Josh Brolin, Margaret Qualley, Allison Janney, Benedict Wong, and Guy Pearce, Adapted from Heller’s acclaimed novel, ‘The Dog Stars’ explores themes of survival, loss, resilience and the enduring power of hope.
