In exactly five weeks’ time, The Dark Knight Rises will hit the big screen for what is all but guaranteed to be one of the greatest films of the year.
Christopher Nolan’s final instalment of his Batman trilogy has been nicely ramping up its ad campaign over the past few weeks, and now the film’s official Facebook has debuted the latest TV spot giving us a nice look at The Bat – if you don’t want to know what it is or what it looks like, look away now.
Christian Bale returns for one last outing, with Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, and Morgan Freeman returning alongside a fantastic new roster, headed up by Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Juno Temple, and Marion Cotillard.
Nolan is directing from a script co-written by brother Jonathan Nolan, with the story by the director and past collaborator David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight).
The Dark Knight Rises will be released in cinemas and IMAX theatres on 20th July – if that date wasn’t already in your mental calendar, commit it to memory now. IMAX tickets are on sale now, and you can be sure this is one film you’ll want to see on the biggest screen and the best quality possible.
