Following on from the great new Bane banner calling on Gotham to RISE comes this action-packed sixty-second international TV spot and a very cool new viral Bane poster for The Dark Knight Rises, Christopher Nolan’s epic conclusion to his and brother Jonathan Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

Christian Bale is back for one last outing as the Dark Knight, and with him is undeniably one of the finest casts of the year, headed up by Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman, Juno Temple, and Marion Cotillard.

“Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. It has been eight years since Batman vanished into the night, turning, in that instant, from hero to fugitive.  Assuming the blame for the death of D.A. Harvey Dent, the Dark Knight sacrificed everything for what he and Commissioner Gordon both hoped was the greater good.  For a time the lie worked, as criminal activity in Gotham City was crushed under the weight of the anti-crime Dent Act. But everything will change with the arrival of a cunning cat burglar with a mysterious agenda.  Far more dangerous, however, is the emergence of Bane, a masked terrorist whose ruthless plans for Gotham drive Bruce out of his self-imposed exile.  But even if he dons the cape and cowl again, Batman may be no match for Bane.”

Nolan is directing from a script co-written by himself and brother Jonathan, based on a story by the director and David S. Goyer (Batman Begins, The Dark Knight).

The Dark Knight Rises will be released in regular and IMAX theatres on 20th July, giving us just two weeks to count down through until we can see this final instalment as it was meant to be seen, on the big screen. I genuinely couldn’t be more excited. It’s going to be incredible. (As usual with the poster, you can click to enlarge.)
