Swearing, decapitation, bowl removal, sexual innuendos and Karl Urban’s dodgy cockney accent make up the trailer Amazon’s new series ‘The Boys’ and we loved every minute of it.
Based on the acclaimed comic of the same name, the series is set in a world where superheroes embrace the darker side of their massive celebrity and fame and track a well-trained hit squad who take down corrupt superheroes with no more than their blue-collar grit and a willingness to fight dirty.
Karl Urban, Elizabeth Shue, Jennifer Esposito, Karen Fukuhara, Laz Alonso, Jack Quaid, Tomer Kapon, Chace Crawford, Erin Moriarty, Antony Starr and Jessie T. Usher all star in the series.
Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg direct all eight episodes of the first series, they also act as executive producers alongside ‘Supernatural’s’ Eric Kripke.
