The BFI in London are playing host to a series of films to celebrate the work of one of cinema’s most accomplished composers, Nino Rota.

He worked with Zeffirelli, Fellini, Visconti and composed the score for the first two films in Coppola’s Godfather trilogy and the BFI are putting on screenings of some of his most famous works including 8 1/2, Amarcord, The Leopard, Rocco and His Brothers, La strada, The Taming of the Shrew and La Dolce Vita.

This is a great chance to see some of these iconic films on the big screen, and the BFI are introducing the season with an event hosted by Richard Dyer, so head over to the BFI’s site to find out more and book your tickets.
