By far one of the most highly anticipated films of the year, Joss Whedon’s The Avengers is very much visibly on the horizon and will be coming to a cinema near you at the end of next month.

We’ve been treated to a brilliant ad campaign for the superhero blockbuster in recent months (all of which you can catch up on here), most recently including the latest new trailer for the film at the end of last month.

Adding to that, we now have a brand new German trailer to share with you, courtesy of the film’s German Facebook page, via ComingSoon.net. In my bid to keep fairly spoiler-free from the film, I haven’t watched the video myself, but am happy to share it with everyone who wants it. It’s said to have two new scenes that we haven’t seen before, and user ‘alexlachiusa’ over at SuperHeroHype Forums has translated the German dub for both these scenes thusly:

Extended Tony Stark Scene:

Tony: And following orders is obvious not my style.

Cap: And everyone knows that style is all you care about.

Tony: From all the people around here, who wears the most figure-hugging outfit?

End Scene with Tony:

Tony: I promise a stress-free environment. No suprises.

Banner: Ow!

Cap: Hey!

Tony: You really got it under control, don’t you. Whats your secret? Relaxing Jazz, Bongo Drums?

Cap: Is everything like a joke to you?

Tony: If it’s funny!”

Here in the UK, word surfaced last month that the film has officially been re-titled Avengers Assemble, and came with a fantastic new poster to promote the new name (though in my opinion, the new poster is significantly better than the name itself).

Whedon is directing from his own script, and of course all of our favourite superhero cast from the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be reprising their roles from recent years, including Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr., with Paul Bettany returning as JARVIS), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo, taking over from Edward Norton), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson), Agent Coulson (Clark Gregg), Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), and Loki (Tom Hiddleston).

The Avengers will be with us in 2D and 3D on 27th April here in the UK, before heading across the Atlantic to be released in the US on 4th May. As I’m sure you can relate to, I can’t wait. This is going to be immense. Here’s the new German trailer for your viewing pleasure. And if you’d like to watch it in HD, you can do so here.
