Studiocanal has unveiled the first-look images for ‘Tender Loving Care,’ the upcoming new film from acclaimed British filmmaker Mike Leigh.
Set in present-day London, ‘Tender Loving Care’ explores the complexities of familial relationships, continuing Leigh’s long-running examination of the contemporary world and the strengths and weaknesses that shape human behaviour.
The film follows Leigh’s acclaimed 2024 drama ‘Hard Truths,’ once again bringing his distinctive observational approach to the everyday lives of ordinary people. With ‘Tender Loving Care,’ the filmmaker turns his attention to family dynamics and the often complicated bonds that hold people together.

Written and directed by Mike Leigh, the film is produced by Georgina Lowe for Thin Man Films, the production company behind several of Leigh’s films.
The cast features Marion Bailey, Paul Jesson, Kate O’Flynn and Alice Bailey Johnson.
‘Tender Loving Care’ will be released in cinemas across the UK and Ireland on 12 February 2027.
