Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried have signed up to star in Paul Feig’s adaptation of the novel by Freida McFadden, ‘The Housemaid.’
Sweeney will take on the role of Millie, a struggling young woman who is relieved to get a fresh start as a housemaid to wealthy couple Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew. Yet, according to the official logline, “Millie soon learns the family’s secrets are far more dangerous than her own.”

Rebecca Sonnenshine is adapting the screenplay for the big screen. Sweeney and Seyfried, will serve as executive producers alongside Alex Young and McFadden.
Hidden Pictures executive Todd Lieberman will produce while Carly Kleinbart Elter will oversee the project for Hidden Pictures. Feig and Laura Fischer are also producing. Chelsea Kujawa and Erin Jones-Wesley are overseeing for Lionsgate.
