With a perfect balance of comedy and drama, Safety Not Guaranteed is one of my favourite films of the year, coming to Sundance London last month and becoming the hit of the festival.

For all the reasons why I loved it, you can read our five-star review of the film to get an idea of just how good it is.

Adding to all the brilliant things we’ve seen already, getting the fantastic first song from the soundtrack and a new clip yesterday, Yahoo Movies have debuted a great new clip from the film of Mark Duplass in mid-heist. And as if that wasn’t enough, Rialto Entertainment have announced they’ll be releasing the film in Australia and New Zealand (on 26th July and 28th June, respectively), and have a new batch of images to share with us too.

“From the producers of Little Miss Sunshine – When an unusual classified ad inspires three cynical Seattle magazine employees to look for the story behind it, they discover a mysterious eccentric named Kenneth, a likable but paranoid supermarket clerk, who believes hes solved the riddle of time travel and intends to depart again soon. Together, they embark on a hilarious, smart, and unexpectedly heartfelt journey that reveals how far believing can take you.”

Aubrey Plaza and Duplass star in the two leads, with fantastic support from Jake M. Johnson (New Girl), Karan Soni, Mary Lynn Rajskub (24), and Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm).

Colin Trevorrow (who you can see in the final image below) makes one of the finest directorial debuts in recent years, with screenwriter Derek Connolly making a brilliant debut alongside him – very much two people to watch in the years to come.

Safety Not Guaranteed will be released in the US on 8th June with a limited release in New York, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Portland, before expanding over the next few weeks to open in cities across the country – if you live in the States, you can click here to find your nearest theatre playing one of the summer’s most highly-anticipated films!

As yet, there’s still no word on if/when it will be coming to the UK, but my fingers are tightly crossed that we’ll be getting it later this summer too, because I’m already so looking forward to seeing it again. Here’s the great new clip followed by the new images (which you can click to enlarge) to see why.
