Well, we cannot wait for this one! eOne has unveiled the first UK trailer for their upcoming comedy-thriller Suburbicon,
Behind the camera is Academy Award Winner George Clooney, marking the 6th time the actor has directed a film after such films as The Ides of March, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and his previous film The Monuments Men. He doesn’t star in this one, but he has assembled an eclectic A-list cast, headed by Oscar Winners Matt Damon (The Martian) and Julianne Moore (Still Alice) and Oscar Isaac (Ex_Machina). Clooney co-writes with writing/producing partner Grant Heslov and Joel & Ethan Cohen (Inside Llewyn Davis).
Here’s the film’s synopsis:
Welcome to Suburbicon in the first UK trailer for the dark comedy directed by George Clooney and starring Matt Damon, Julianne Moore and Oscar Issac. Written by the Coen Brothers, George Clooney and Grant Heslov prepare to join the community when the film arrives in cinemas November 24.
‘Suburbicon’ is a peaceful, idyllic suburban community with affordable homes and manicured lawns… the perfect place to raise a family, and in the summer of 1959, the Lodge family is doing just that. But the tranquil surface masks a disturbing reality, as husband and father Gardner Lodge (Matt Damon) must navigate the town’s dark underbelly of betrayal, deceit, and violence. Suburbicon is this Autumn’s much-anticipated dark comedy, with a fantastic cast also including Julianne Moore, Oscar Isaac and newcomer Noah Jupe.
The film is set to debut at next month’s Toronto International Film Festival and it’s a strong bet for an appearance at this year’s London Film Festival in October before bowing in UK cinemas on November 24th.
