Legendary Pictures and Capcom have officially announced the cast for their highly anticipated live-action adaptation of the iconic video game franchise ‘Street Fighter,’ which will smash its way onto the big screen in October 2026. Filmed for IMAX®, the upcoming feature marks the first release under Legendary’s new global distribution deal with Paramount Pictures.
Currently in production, the film promises to capture the quarter-pumping, button-mashing spirit of the 1990s arcade classic while reimagining it for a new generation.
A 1993 World Warrior Showdown
Set in 1993, the story follows estranged fighters Ryu (Andrew Koji) and Ken Masters (Noah Centineo), who are forced back into combat when the enigmatic Chun-Li (Callina Liang) recruits them for the ultimate World Warrior Tournament.
What begins as a battle of fists, fate, and fury soon unravels into something darker—a deadly conspiracy that pits old allies against each other and forces them to confront the demons of their past. If they fail, it’s GAME OVER.
