It was revealed not too long ago that Chris Pratt was being considered by Disney and Lucasfilm for their planned reboot of Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford was the one who made the role famous of course, but after Guardians of the Galaxy and the promising looking Juarassic World, Pratt seems like an ideal replacement.

Steve Spielberg (who directed all four of the Indiana Jones movies) is still set to serve as a producer, but according to a new report, he also hopes to direct the reboot as long as the screenplay is to his liking.

Whether or not that’s a good thing after Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull largley depends on how you felt about the movie, but surely it would be better for a new director to take on this fresh start?

Regardless, it sounds like VERY early days for the Indiana Jones reboot and a lot of the report seems to be made up of speculation more than solid facts, though it does come from a reliable source. They add that, “it’s too early to determine what will happen because there is no script yet and they are just getting going.”

As Pratt was chosen for the lead role in the Spielberg produced Jurassic World, this would make sense!
