Stephen Graham and Harris Dickinson have joined the growing cast list for Steve McQueen’s, ‘Blitz.’
Joining Graham and Dickinson are Saoirse Ronan, Kathy Burke and The Jam frontman Paul Weller and newcomers Elliott Heffernan and Erin Kellyman.
The movie will centre on the eight-month bombing campaign of England in 1940-1941 by Germany’s Luftwaffe. It was seen as a defining moment of WW2 for the country, which endured major civilian casualties. The ensemble film will follow the stories of various Londoners during the German bombing campaign on the British capital in World War II.

The film is a US-UK co-production courtesy of McQueen’s own outfit Lammas Park, Apple Studios (which also holds the world distribution rights), New Regency and Working Title. McQueen’s movie is on a slate of upcoming Apple releases including Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ and Ridley Scott’s ‘Napoleon.’
Production is now underway on the project.
