We have trudged through prequels which crushed our spirits, taken flight in an expanded universe which blossomed into fervent life and was suddenly, cruelly jettisoned, we have seen the emergence of a new kingdom of the nerd and the geek, walked across the ever-shifting sands of the movie business to come to this point. Star Wars is reborn today.
From the moment the shock announcement came that Episode VII was going into production at Disney millions of fans across the world have waited for this moment. And below is our first glimpse of Star Wars after the Jedi returned.
The trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens is so anticipated that certain cinemas will be playing the trailer over and over, discussing the glimpses, the mysteries contained therein and our first look at Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Skywalker in thirty years. We are fifteen years on from the artificially inflated box office number of Meet Joe Black and the circle is now complete. We are at a new stage in our relationship with Star Wars.
