Stanley Tucci is playing Dr Erskine in the film, the scientist who injects Steve Rogers with the serum that makes him the super-soldier he is as Captain America.

Tucci is no stranger to well-scripted films (The Devil Wears Prada, The Lovely Bones, Road to Perdition) and so his statement to Screencrave that Captain America has a “very good script” and that making the film is a “great experience” should carry some weight.

Too many comic book / superhero adaptations have been hamstrung by bad or lazy scripts (Blade: Trinity, Joel Schumacher-era Batman, Wolverine, Elektra, Fantastic Four) so it is reassuring to hear that Tucci is pleased with what he is working on. Apparently Joss Whedon has done some polishing work on the script, which can only be a good thing.

Head over here to catch the rest of what Tucci had to say to Screencrave about his experiences on the film so far.
