In a somewhat inevitable move (given his productivity in television and his love for meticulously storyboarding his own films) it looks like the great man himself, Mr Steven Spielberg is jumping aboard the comic book live-action adaptation bandwagon.

News has come in via Vulture that Hollywood’s hot scriptwriting duo Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and Josh Friedman (part of the creative team behind Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) are teaming up to bring supernatural-themed graphic novel Locke & Key to the small screen through DreamWorks TV.

Created by Joe Hill (Stephen King’s son, no less!), Locke & Key is set in a New England mansion which is filled with a series of magical doors that transform the individuals who choose to walk through them. Oohhh!

No channel has bought the series as yet, but surely with the calibre attached, it’s only a matter of time before someone puts a bid in.

More as we get it.
