Solo: A Star Wars story has yet to hit our cinemas, but the actor playing the young Han Solo, Alden Ehrenreich, has had a bout of the Tom Holland’s; he has let slip he will be returning to the role of Han Solo in two more Star Wars projects.

During an interview with Esquire, Ehrenreich let slip he had signed up for three movies as the younger version of the character made famous by Harrison Ford. After being asked how many he has signed up for he replied “Three” before realising he may have just got himself into trouble with Lucasfilm, “I don’t know if that’s officially, uh, public. But—yeah.”

So for anyone thinking his outing may have been just a one-off, we can now expect him to develop the character further. Whether it will be in further spin-offs or sequels to Solo isn’t clear.

The film, which hits cinemas May 25th, will focus on Han Solo and Chewbacca’s adventures years before the events of “Star Wars: A New Hope” including their early encounters with Lando Calrissian.

Alden Ehrenreich will take the lead as a young Han Solo, as well as Donald Glover as Lando, Joonas Suotamo as Chewbacca returning as familiar faces as well as Star Wars regular Warwick Davis. Emilia Clarke, Woody Harrelson, Phoebe Waller-Bridge are all new faces to join the ever-growing saga of brand new characters.

Bourne and Shrek composer, John Powell has created the score becoming only the third ever composer to be allowed into the Star Wars fold which includes both John Williams and Michael Giacchino.
