To celebrate the anticipated release of Smile 2, which lands in UK cinemas this week, we had the pleasure of chatting to the films creator and star to find out more about the scary new film.
About to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.
Chatting to star Scott, we talk about playing a pop star, the art of horror acting and the lure of the character, what she loves about this genre and being part of this world, trusting writer/director Finn with both the scares and the humanity at the centre of the film and what she feels audiences will get out of the sequel. Meanwhile, Finn tells us about his ideas for the sequel and possible other films, showing audiences just enough while still holding some secrets part, the unique approach that comes with making a sequel, his love of horror and much more.
