To celebrate Netflix’s seductive new limited series, ‘Obsession,’ an exclusive erotic boutique pop-up will be opening in the heart of Soho.
The series is a contemporary adaptation of Josephine Hart’s 1991 novella, Damage, and centres around a dangerous love triangle that emerges when the enigmatic Anna Barton (Charlie Murphy) embarks on a passionate affair with her fiancé’s father, William (Richard Armitage), a top surgeon.
In the story, Anna reveals her red leather-bound diary to William – a place where she keeps her deepest secrets and divulges sexual desires she and William explore in their affair through BDSM. The erotic boutique will be an immersive experience bringing visitors into Anna’s world of play, whilst inviting them to give up their own secret anonymously in ‘Anna’s diary’; in exchange, they will be rewarded with a luxury product available within the boutique.
Actors dressed as Anna will enhance the experience, interacting with visitors to ask them to agree to a list of rules (inspired by Anna’s dominant-submissive role in the series) before moving through to a diary room, adorned in red and holding Anna’s diary for them to disclose their own secret. Visitors also have the chance to role-play in an intriguing scene that takes place in a bedroom themed in the style of a Parisian hotel and take a photo in a Netflix ‘Ribbon Room’, before returning to the boutique-style front of the house to ‘purchase’ their product.

Products in the boutique will be adorned with intricate Shibari bondage rope and presented to consumers in Obsession packaging. Items available range from stimulators to Shibari playful kits.
The products have been supplied by Coco De Mer. In advance of the opening, all ambassadors in the boutique will be trained by a representative from the luxury retailer to provide product knowledge, authenticity and advice on how to talk to customers about sex toys and pleasure.
All secrets supplied by visitors will remain anonymous. Those providing a secret will be required to sign a release form so their secret can be shared as projections on the walls in the erotic boutique, via social media and on Obsessionsecrets.co.uk
