To celebrate the release of the second season of Servant, which begins on Apple TV+ this week, we sat down with the key cast and executive producer M. Night Shyamalan to find out what the sophomore season has in store.

After the nail-biting finale last year – and, of course, the twists that left us hanging – we return to the home of Dorothy and Sean Turner (Lauren Ambrose and Toby Kebbell), a Philadelphia couple who hire Leanne (Nell Tiger Free) to be the nanny for their baby son, Jericho. But Leanne’s arrival brings about strange and frightening occurrences for the couple and, without spoiling anything, things don’t go the way they hoped.

The cast tells us about keeping secrets, the unique pressures of “second album syndrome” in a series, and how they handled the reactions to the finale of Season One. In addition, M. Night Shyamalan tells us how he and his fellow filmmakers kept the second season fresh and exciting for the audience and how to play with their expectations in the best possible way.
