With the Looney Tunes well and truly back in action, with new shorts headed for television and cinema screens, Wile E. Coyote and Road Runner are returning to cinemas after their first short, Coyote Falls, adorned prints of Cats and Dogs 2: The Revenge of Kitty Galore.

A clip from the second short – titled Fur of Flying – has appeared online at Bleeding Cool prior to the release of Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga’Hoole. With the hallmarks of a 3D treatment, the short looks set to trump the high standard set by Coyote Falls.

Should the third cartoon, which will precede the upcoming Yogi Bear movie, show this level of attention to detail it will bode well for the planned Bugs Bunny and Marvin the Martian features also in production.

Matthew O’Callaghan will again direct, the official blurb providing a little context for the delight of a clip.

With an assortment of mail order products, Wile E. Coyote fashions himself a homemade helicopter helmet. Soaring through the sky and over the cliffs, it’s a surefire way to catch the Road Runner … assuming he can avoid military testing grounds.
