The brand new and highly anticipated fourth season of Emmy, Critic’s Choice and IGN award-winning ‘Rick and Morty’ will make its UK premiere on Channel 4.

If you’ve missed any of the previous seasons, the first three will be airing on E4, the first time ever on free-to-air UK television.

Described as “the world’s most ingenious animation”, and “one of the best shows on television”, UK viewers can get up to speed with the duo’s universe-hopping antics on E4. Seasons 1 to 3 will have the UK flying around Anatomy Park, turning into sentient pickles and bingeing on Interdimensional Cable with our favourite terrified grandson and maniacal genius grandfather from February.

Rick and Morty is an American adult animated science fiction sitcom created by Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon. The series follows the misadventures of cynical mad scientist Rick Sanchez and his good-hearted but fretful grandson Morty Smith, who split their time between domestic life and interdimensional adventures. The idea originated from an animated short parody film of ‘Back to the Future’.

The arrival of the series is part of a new brand partnership that will also see hundreds of hours of Adult Swim content being made available to stream for free on All 4. Rick and Morty will be accompanied by the UK premiere of the ‘Robot Chicken: The Walking Dead Special’ on E4. This will be the first of a regular new ‘Adult Swim hour’ block on E4, showcasing episodes from different Adult Swim shows that will be available to stream, as full series boxsets, exclusively on All 4 in the UK.
