With Arnold Schwarzenegger’s time as Governator of Los Angeles coming to an end very soon, does the one-time Mr Universe have any plans on returning to the big screen?

Bleeding Cool has reported that Arnold Schwarzenegger and past collaborator/good friend James Cameron have teamed up yet again, albeit in a different manner to their past efforts. The two of them have produced an ad for the ‘Stop Dirty Energy’ campaign against California’s Prop 23, a proposed ballet that two Texas oil companies are pushing for, which if passed, could potentially destroy Schwarzenegger’s home state clean energy and air pollution reduction standards. The video is embedded below.

As for seeing Arnie back in cinemas in the near future, the site has discovered this less-than-enthusiastic quote from an article on Reuters last week:

“It depends … if someone comes with a great script, with a great idea. Will I still have the patience to sit on the set and do a movie for three months or for six months, all of those things? I don’t know.”

So there you have it. From killer cybernetic organism to environmental crusader – it may be sometime before Schwarzenegger announces that he’ll be back.
